About

Greetings!

I started this blog as many English Lit nerds do, to post my writings and musings to a couple of close friends for feedback and hopeful adoration. After a few weeks of wrestling with blog themes and their potential popularity, I realized the heart of the issue. I’m not just a writer. I’m also an editor, graphic designer, reader, occasional photographer, website designer, creative problem solver, and purveyor of fine bargain bin DVDs.

So I present you with my new blog/portfolio. I’m still working out a few of the kinks in the design and flair, but awesome things will come. I plan to add marketing/advertising pieces to showcase my graphic design, pieces of my writing and brainstorming, and other things worthy of a raised eyebrow smiley.

So why the lower case?

First and foremost because I love writing and references to writing. I also love slightly quirky references that require a little bit of thought. Also, because Upper Case, pretentious writing and designs clutter the world with tired metaphors without earning them. My goal is to maintain a closer pulse to the moments that cause our emotions to stir. To make informational marketing without causing several Google searches for all the jargon. Artwork that sells products because it delivers the right amount of curiosity rather a bottle blonde on the cover.

I won’t claim to be Upper Case, a cut above the rest. Labeling myself as Upper Case sounds as though I have already peaked. My career is just starting, and I’ve got a lot of room to grow and make exciting new things. And, if you like my work, those exciting things could help  you and your company grow too.

I always enjoy feedback so feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments. Hope you enjoy my posts. 🙂
